Taif

A mountain town known for its roses

About Taif

Taif is a beautiful and historic city in Saudi Arabia, located east of Makkah in the mountains of the Hejaz region. Known for its pleasant weather, rose gardens, and scenic landscapes, Taif has a rich history that dates back thousands of years. In pre-Islamic times, it served as a significant cultural and commercial hub. In Islamic history, Taif holds great importance as the city where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) traveled to spread the message of Islam during its early years. Though initially rejected and mistreated by the locals, the city later embraced Islam after its peaceful conquest. Today, Taif is home to many historic landmarks, including Shubra Palace, Taif Museum, and ancient mosques that reflect its spiritual and historical legacy.
